are placements that important

The eveb sem for every pre-final year student is a nightmare.i mean he will be damn busy at that time with his projects,papers,MS/MBA and placement activities.
there is no time for rest.u gotta keep on slogging.is this really necessary for a electronics or mech or any other dept. to join a software company???
the answer is no.there are tonnes of options around us which we fail to see as a potential for achieving our goals.this sudden rush to IT companies is spoiling our dreams.
sadly we are not in a position to choose our jobs.just as time and tide waits for none.so does jobs.in order for any respect in the society, we need a job.
i guess this is one of the main reasons for the deteoriating economy and culture in our country.
